AT&T Galaxy S7 and S7 edge Gets Wi-Fi Calling, Advance Messaging Update (UCU2APG1)

The Wi-Fi calling support for AT&T Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is finally here. In addition to Wi-Fi calling, the update also includes the AT&T Advance Messaging to which brings the Internet Protocol Message Enabled (IPME), and the Messages Backup & Sync feature. The update also carries the Android security patch containing the month of July patches. The update will bump up the Galaxy S7 Android OS to build version number MMB29M.G930AUCU2APG1, whilst the Galaxy S7 edge will move to build version MMB29M.G935AUCU2APG1.

Telus, Bell, Rogers Galaxy S7 and S7 edge Receives Improved Wi-FiCalling and July Security Patch Update (VLU1APG1)

All major and minor Canadian carriers Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge has started receiving the Android Security patch update for July.  The update also includes the Wi-Fi calling improvements, and resolves several bug fixes. Noting that there were some downside have been found in April's released. The previous update had been reportedly causing battery draining problem. So hope's this update would come out flawlessly and without any glitches.

Telus was the first carrier to released the said update, then followed by Rogers, Bell, and the rest of Canadian carriers, including Wind, Koodo, Fido, Videotron, Eastlink, and Virgin-Mobile to their own Galaxy S7 and S7 edge lineup. The Factory unlocked version of Canada's Galaxy S7 and S7 edge also get the same treatment. Sprint Galaxy S7 and S7 edge July Security Patch Update (VPS2APG1)

The July security patch update is now heading its way to Sprint Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users in the United States. As it is briefly noted, the update brings nothing more any new features but mainly the said Android security patches only. This released will address more than 40 Android security vulnerabilities, including the vulnerability in audio service, according to an Android security bulletin. But there are no exploitation of the said vulnerabilities has yet been reported, the bulletin said.

Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 edge July Security Patch Update (VRS2APF2)

Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 edge yet received another OTA update earlier today. According to the big red's released notes, the update will bring the new Android security patches that covers its fixes for the month of July. This release is part of the monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR) process. The patch will address more than 40 security vulnerabilities, including the vulnerability in audio service, a remote code execution that could affect device through multiple methods such as email, web browsing, and MMS when processing media files. The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge international variant is getting another Android security patch update. This over-the-air OTA update will improved the device security and covers for the month of June.  Along with it is several bug fixes and system enhancements.

• Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.
